Basic vs. Advanced

BASIC VERSION ADVANCED VERSION
The Basic Version of the program includes all of the essentials that you need to control and run your operating sessions:
  • Layout description, route descriptions, car files, engine files, train files.
  • Make up trains.
  • Print Manifests, Switch Lists, car locations, car rosters, and reports.
  • Run trains from city to city, etc.
 The Advanced Version of the program includes the following features that are not in the Basic Version:
  • Virtual Car Cards! [-]
    • Up to 6 sequential destinations (or 7 if returning to original location).
    • One-time use or can repeat indefinitely.
    • Logical routing - each move is checked with the routes and trains available.
  • Customize car information printing on train Manifests.
  • Graphical Dispatcher Panel [-]
    • Move trains through their routes with the mouse, completing switching operations in each city, with up to 30 trains active at any one time.
  • Schedule operations "by the clock". [-]
    • Travel times between cities are controlled route by route, and city by city.
    • Switching times in each city are separately adjustable.
    • Used in setting the arrival and departure times for trains in each city.
  • "Time charts" for trains and cities, indentifying possible traffic congestion problems.
  • Print Yardmaster Switch Lists by priority or time of train arrival and departure. Yardmasters can determine what to work on first.
