Summary 0000046: Printers do not keep their assigned printer number when exiting the program
Description This is a small issue but everytime I exit RailOp, my printers forget where they are assigned to. They all show up as 0 when getting back into the program. I'm using 4 printers and every time I run a session, or if I need to exit RailOp during that session, I have to reasign numbers to the printers again when I'm back into the program. This was happening before your 8.2.9.85 fix to the yard issue.

How many printers are you working with?

Thanks,
Eric

Sorry, just noticed that you stated 4 printers in the first message.

Thanks,
Eric

Dave:

I've uploaded a new test version to the ticket. Can you try it and let me know if it is still having the symptoms? I was not able to reproduce the bug with this release using 6 printers.

Test version is 8.2.9.86.

Thanks,
Eric

Eric

Yes the printer's hold their numbers now. However, when I make a change to a printer's number, I need to uncheck the location and recheck it again before it will hold it's assigned number. If I just change the printer's location (number), exit the program and go back in again, the printer will have the orginial number assigned to it and not the newer location. I need to change the number, uncheck the location box and recheck it again before the change will hold. The instructions state you only need to check the box and "spin" the numbers till you have the printer number you want. Right now you need to change the number, uncheck the box and check it again for it to hold for me.

Thank you

Dave

Dave, can you try this one? I was able to identify where the information was not getting properly written to disk and it appears to be fixed. But, before I mark it resolved I wanted to have you verify for me.

Thanks,
Eric
