Summary |
0000052: Interchange logic not stable. |
|
Description |
I'm seeing logic errors when RailOp autobuilds trains with an interchange track in its run. Some "loaded pulp cars" will be spotted at the interchange track and others will not. When trying to manually place the loaded pulp cars at the interchange, RailOp tells me the location needs an empty, want to change the car to empty? The other cars are placed on this interchange track with no problem and they are loaded, however when trying to place another car at this location, RailOp states the siding needs an empty. Same with other cars. The settings are correct, the siding needs a loaded pulp car. RailOp sees the opposite for some pulp cars and not all. |

Build train 13 from Sand 3 to Sand 3. You should see three cars that return to Sand three instead of being dropped off at troy. Trying to place these cars at Troy using manual build gives me the load, empty issue. |

Dave:
On the first run through the cars, those are failing since the Troy interchange track is still full. On subsequent passes, the three cars that get routed back to Sandpoint are failing due to the max train length set at 650'. When are car fails for any reason normally it would be discarded from the train, however, since it is originating from staging the train is forced to take it and set the cars to the default destination of far-end terminal (in this case the originating staging siding since it is a turn). I think I've got that fixed for the staging trains without messing the others up.
However, there is another problem on the manual build where it looks to be using the setting for the first road regardless of the road of the train to determine the car type and status allowed. I'll take a look at that tomorrow and then send another test file to you.
Thanks,
Eric |
